"Joyce is a wonderfully talented singer-songwriter", wrote Scott Stamper, talent buyer for the Stone Pony, Asbury Park, NJ, after her appearance there as opening act for Tuck & Patti. "Joyce's music touches all parts of the mind and soul. Her exciting original songs have a life of their own. She is a 'must see' live act."
- Joyce's vocal command spans the range of material between the lyrical and the legit, the grittiest jazz and blues, and the vast palette in between. Her piano and keyboard style reflects this same sensitivity, with her heart for improvisation and exploration always reaching out to touch the heart of the listener. Jerry Coker, author of the landmark book, "Improvising Jazz", recognized Joyce as "a very gifted player". Renowned jazz pianist, Joanne Brackeen, also mentored Joyce.
- Joyce performs in concerts, supperclubs, churches, musical theatre, for private affairs, and "live" TV. She appears regularly as a soloist and with ensembles in the New York-Metro area, as well as nationally and abroad.
